How to Install Arreya in the Google Admin Console Using the Device Registration URL
Determine Your Current Arreya Configuration
Before beginning the migration, review your Organizational Units (OUs) in the Google Admin Console and determine how Arreya is currently configured.
There are three possible scenarios.
Scenario 1: Your OU Already Launches the Arreya URL
If your existing OU is already configured to launch:
https://api.arreya.com/device/register
you do not need to add or change the Arreya kiosk application.
However, you will still need to create a new child OU underneath your existing Arreya OU.
Once the child OU is created:
- Verify that the child OU inherits the existing Arreya URL kiosk configuration from its parent.
- Move all Arreya Chrome devices from the existing parent OU into the new child OU.
- Allow the devices to restart and launch Arreya.
- The devices will display a new 4-character pairing code.
- Re-pair each device with its appropriate Arreya channel.
For instructions on pairing an Arreya device, see Arreya Device Setup.
Scenario 2: Your OU Uses the Legacy Arreya Chrome Web Store App
If your existing OU launches the Arreya Chrome Web Store application with App ID:

you will need to create a new child OU and configure it to use the Arreya Device Registration URL.
Create and Configure the Child OU
- Create a new child OU underneath your existing Arreya OU.
- Navigate to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions > Kiosks.
- Select the new child OU.
- Click the + button.
- Select Add by URL.
- Enter:
https://api.arreya.com/device/register - Add the URL as a kiosk application.
- Configure the Arreya URL application to auto-launch.
- Save your changes.
Move and Re-Pair Your Devices
After the new child OU is configured:
- Move all Arreya Chrome devices from the existing parent OU into the new child OU.
- Allow the devices to restart and launch the new Arreya URL kiosk application.
- Each device will display a new 4-character pairing code.
- Re-pair each device with its appropriate Arreya channel.
For complete pairing instructions, see Arreya Device Setup.
Scenario 3: You Have a Mix of Legacy App and URL-Based OUs
Some organizations may have multiple Arreya OUs, with some currently launching:
https://api.arreya.com/device/register
while others are still launching the legacy Chrome Web Store application:

In this situation, review each Arreya OU individually.
OUs Already Using the Arreya URL
For an OU already launching:
https://api.arreya.com/device/register
you do not need to add a new kiosk application.
Create a child OU underneath the existing OU and verify that the Arreya URL kiosk configuration is inherited.
OUs Using the Legacy Arreya App
For an OU using App ID:
nloplhgjobaomjdppnbcdjfgbefifbdo
create a child OU and configure the child with the Arreya Device Registration URL:
https://api.arreya.com/device/register
Navigate to Devices > Chrome > Apps & extensions > Kiosks, select the child OU, click +, and choose Add by URL.
Configure the URL application to auto-launch and save your changes.
Move and Re-Pair All Devices
After all of your child OUs are correctly configured, all Arreya devices must be moved into their appropriate child OUs, except for devices already using the Arreya URL.
After moving the devices:
- Allow each device to restart and launch Arreya.
- The device will display a new 4-character pairing code.
- Log in to your Arreya account.
- Navigate to Management > Devices.
- Re-pair each device with its appropriate Arreya channel.
See Arreya Device Setup for complete device pairing instructions.
